Your processes, the right automation.

Your team copies information or repeats the same handovers. We follow a process end to end to identify useful automation and exceptions that require a human decision.

A specific use.

  • Repeated data entry

Identify where information is copied and which source is authoritative.

  • Team handovers

Clarify triggers, approvals and responsibilities at each stage.

  • Disconnected software

Examine data exchange options and access limitations.

What you get from the brief.

  1. A map of the flows

Data, tools and rules that move the process forward.

A flow diagram with every handover numbered, and the volume passing through each one per month.

  2. Reasoned priorities

Automation opportunities assessed against frequency, effort and exceptions.

A ranked table, one line per candidate, putting hours saved each month against days of work.

  3. A delivery scenario

The trigger, actions, access and error cases to handle.

A build specification naming the trigger, the systems it writes to, and what happens when one of them is down.

How long it takes.

Two to three weeks for one process. We would rather look at a single flow properly than survey five of them. The diagram and the monthly volumes come back at the end of the first week.

What we need from you.

  1. A month of the real volume

How many times the process ran last month, and how many of those runs went wrong. Automation pays back against frequency, so that number decides what gets built.

  2. The rule for the awkward cases

Someone on your side has to state, in writing, what happens to the exceptions. That decision often takes longer than the automation itself, and nobody outside your team can make it.

The same project, at another stage.
